For a week in a holiday villa, you pack for four moments: pool, outings, evenings in the garden and a dinner. Bring airy clothes for the daytime, one or two polished evening outfits and an extra layer for when it cools down. Above all, choose pieces that combine with each other. Below you will find the list and the outfits per moment.

The pieces that do the most work

The jumpsuit. For women, a jumpsuit is a versatile choice. The Clarissa in cream is an airy linen jumpsuit with an elastic waistband. In the daytime with sandals to the market, in the evening with gold earrings at the table in the garden. It folds up small and weighs little.

The fine-knit T-shirt. The Lenora in light blue is fine-knit, two-tone and has gold ball-shaped buttons. That makes it work both with jeans and with a trouser.

The light jeans. The Adelaide in light blue is a high-waist contour-fit jeans. Light blue denim looks summery and combines with white, cream and navy.

The knitted polo for men. The Julian in cool grey, made of cotton, silk and linen with a quarter zip, is airy enough for the day and polished enough for the restaurant. A second, sportier polo is the Atticus in white, a striped cotton polo with buttons. With the Atticus, take one size larger than usual.

The white trouser. The Harrison in white is a tapered trouser with a single pleat. For dinner at the restaurant or a festive evening at the villa.

Outfits per day

  6. Restaurant: white trouser with blouse (women) or shirt and loafers (men).
  7. Last day: the favourite of the week once more.

Colours that together make a suitcase

Choose a small colour palette beforehand. For a sunny villa holiday, white, cream, light blue, navy and sand work best. That way most tops and trousers combine with each other. A striking colour or print can serve as an accent, but keep the rest calm.

Packing tips for a shared villa

  • Coordinate with your friends. One iron or steamer, one hairdryer and one set of laundry bags is enough for the whole group.
  • Choose colours that combine. White, cream, navy, light blue and sand: then you can wear every top with every trouser.
  • Roll instead of fold. Knitwear and T-shirts crease less and take up less space.
  • Bring a small laundry bag for wet swimwear and dirty laundry.
  • Leave room for what you buy at the market.

Clothes for the journey

If you travel by plane, you can wear your heaviest pieces on the way. That saves space in the suitcase. For the travel day, choose clothes that do not pinch and in which you still arrive polished after a few hours of sitting, such as a trouser with a little stretch and a knitted polo or fine-knit T-shirt. If you drive, bring a cardigan within reach for the air conditioning and the evening stop.

Do you wash on the spot?

Many villas have a washing machine. Then you can manage with even less: one wash halfway through the week, and you can wear your favourite pieces again. Wash knitted pieces cold and let them dry flat in the shade, not in the bright sun. On our care instructions page you will find more explanation per material.
